In 2023 she received a Commander of the Order of the British Empire for Services to Economics in the 2023 New Year Honours List.

Professor Yueh is Adviser to the UK Board of Trade and Member of the Independent Review Panel on Ring-fencing and Proprietary Trading of the UK government. She is Chair of the Royal Commonwealth Society and Trustee of Malaria No More UK and the Coutts Foundation, where she is Chair of the Audit, Finance and Investment Committee. She is a Non-Executive Director of the following publicly listed companies on the London Stock Exchange: Rentokil Initial plc and SEGRO plc, both FTSE 100 companies, Senior Independent Director of Fidelity China Special Situations plc, a FTSE 250 investment trust, and Chair of Baillie Gifford’s The Schiehallion Fund Ltd, an investment company listed on the Specialist Fund Segment of the LSE Main Market. She serves on the Advisory Board of LSE IDEAS and on the Policy Committee of the Centre for Economic Performance (CEP), both at the London School of Economics. Dr Yueh is a widely published author who has written 10 books. Her latest book, published in May 2023, is The Great Crashes, Lessons from Global Meltdowns and How to Prevent Them. Previous books include: The Great Economists: How Their Ideas Can Help Us Today was selected as The Times’s Best Business Books of the Year. The U.S. edition, What Would the Great Economists Do? How Twelve Brilliant Minds Would Solve Today’s Biggest Problems, was Newsweek’s Best Books of the Year.

She is a TV and radio presenter, including for BBC Radio 4 and the World Service, as well as having fronted BBC TV series, such as The New Middle Class, Next Billionaires, and Working Lives. She was Chief Business Correspondent for BBC News and presenter of Talking Business with Linda Yueh for BBC World TV and BBC News Channel. She had been Economics Editor and anchor at Bloomberg TV.

Professor Yueh has advised the World Bank, European Commission, Asian Development Bank, World Economic Forum in Davos, among others. Dr Nicholas Gruen is a widely published policy economist, entrepreneur and thought leader. He is currently CEO of Lateral Economics and Chair of Open Knowledge Foundation (Australia). He was educated at Cambridge University and was a Fellow of Peterhouse for eight years before joining Princeton University in 1986. He is director of the Center for European Politics and Society at Princeton.

Harold James has written extensively on the economic implications of globalization, drawing comparisons with historical attempts at globalization which ended with the Great Depression in 1929. He argues the Great Depression must not be considered as only an American phenomenon, but instead as a global economic crisis. Born in India, Parag grew up in the United Arab Emirates, New York, and Germany. He is an accomplished adventurer who has traveled to more than 150 countries on all continents. Some of his lengthy journeys include driving from the Baltic Sea through the Balkans and across Turkey and the Caucasus to the Caspian Sea, across the rugged terrain of Tibet and Xinjiang provinces in western China, and ten thousand kilometers from London to Ulaanbaatar in the Mongolia Charity Rally. He has climbed numerous 20,000-foot plus peaks, and trekked in the Alps, Himalayas, and Tien Shan mountain ranges. Parag is also a competitive tennis player.

Parag has been honored as a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum and has served on the WEF’s Global Future Council on Mobility, Global Agenda Council on Geoeconomics, and advisory board of its Future of Urban Development Initiative.
